The first Windows Phone 8 handsets have hit the market in the US, with AT&T stores selling the Nokia Lumia 820 and Lumia 920 as well as the HTC Windows Phone 8X. Verizon has opened pre-orders for the HTC Windows Phone 8X and the Nokia Lumia 822, its curvier variant of the Lumia 820.

AT&T is selling the Lumia 920 in five colors: red, yellow, cyan, white, and black. Yellow handsets won’t ship until the 12th of this month, but the others can be had today for $99 on a two-year contract, or a surprisingly low $449 with no commitment. Customers will also receive a free wireless charging pad, but they’ll have to wait until an unspecified “later date” for it to be delivered.

The Lumia 820 is available in black only, for $49 on a two-year contract, or $399 with no commitment.
